Every Single Non-Genesis Sega System Game I've Ever Played!

Because I have never played, nor owned, many games for the Sega CD,Game Gear,or the 32X,I've decided to make a single list dedicated to these 3 Sega Systems. And as a Bonus,I'm gonna be listing the Master System games that I've played through Emulation.

We will start with the Sega Game Gear.

The Sega Game Gear - I received my Game Gear as a B-Day gift in 1992. The 1st game I got was the pack-in title,Sonic the Hedgehog 2. Because this thing ate up batteries (6 of 'em),I was forced to play it using an AC adapter. Sometime in 2000,my Game Gear broke.

Sonic The Hedgehog 2 - This was the pack-in game that came with My Game Gear. Sonic 2 GG had difficulty issues, with some stages and All bosses being unfair (you don't get any rings when facing a boss). I was not a fan of this game. This titles only saving grace is the music.

The Simpsons: Krusty's Fun House - The 2nd game I got with my Game Gear. Unlike with Sonic 2 GG,I had some fun playing this one. Sure it's challenging, but in a fun kinda way. Before Sonic Chaos and Mean Bean Machine, this was the game that I played the most.

Sonic The Hedgehog - Got this as a B-Day gift in 1994. I had the 2nd game,so I wanted to play this. I was not a fan of the lay-out of some stages and I Really hated the Ringless Boss fights, but overall I liked this game better than it's sequel. Thankfully, the next 2 Game Gear Sonic Titles would fix All of the problems that the first 2 games had.

Sonic Chaos - Got this as a 1994 X-Mas gift and it instantly became the first Sonic Game Gear title that I liked. Sonic Chaos improved upon Everything from the previous 2 games. Graphics,Sound,Gameplay, and Stage Layout are major things that were improved over the first 2 games. Plus,No More Ringless Boss Battles. This game was so much fun, that it became my main game for the system, until Mean Bean Machine. Speaking of...

Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine - Got this as a gift in the Summer of 1995 and it instantly became my favorite Game Gear title. Very fun gameplay. The Puzzle Mode was especially addicting.

Sonic Triple Trouble - I got this one on X-Mas of 1995. Sonic Triple Trouble was the final Game Gear title that I'd ever get - and it was a good one. Knuckles makes his portable debut and forgotten character,Nack The Weasel, aka Fang The Snyper, makes his debut.

And now for the Game Gear titles I played though Emulation.

Mega Man - The Game Gear version of Mega Man is a hodgepodge of stages and bossess from Mega Man 4 and 5. While inferior to it's NES counterparts,it's still a decent game.

Sonic Spinball - I wanted to try the Game Gear version of Sonic Spinball,so I downloaded it and wasn't too impressed. I'll just stick with the Genesis version.

Sonic Blast - One of the worst Sonic titles Ever! It has some impressive graphics for the Game Gear, but that's all I'm gonna give it. Everything else you can just trash.

------------------------------------------------

Next up,the Sega CD

The Sega CD - I got my Sega CD on X-Mas of 1993. The pack-in game was Sewer Shark, one of the many many FMV games for the system. But I also received After Burner III,as well. Longevity was Not its strong point,as it broke in early 1996. Also the Sega CD I have was a model 2.

Sewer Shark - Came with the Sega CD. A cool looking FMV game that I just couldn't get into.

After Burner III - Got this on X-Mas of 1993,along side my Sega CD. It's a fun and engaging Dogfight game. I played this one often. My dad liked this game too.

Sonic CD - Got this as a gift in 1994. One of the greatest Sonic games of all time.

WWF Rage In The Cage - Got this on my B-Day in 1995. A decent wrestling game with the main feature being the Steel Cage Match mode. Both this mode and the Wrestlers opening dialogue/taunts were the most memorable things about this game. And despite having 3 Tag Teams, there's no Tag Team Match mode.

Final Fight CD - Rented this back in 1994 and enjoyed it. The load times were a Major pain in the ass,but take That away from the game and you got one of the best ports of Final Fight ever.

Panic - I played this over my buddy's house back in 1996 and thought it was wacky. Years later,in 2004,I remembered the game and wanted to play it again,so I downloaded it for Emulation and had fun.

-----------------------------------------------

Next up,the Sega 32X!

The Sega 32X - I got this add-on on X-Mas of 1995 and had to wait a bit to play it because it didn't come with an RF Unit, but an A/V plug and my TV didn't have Any A/V input. So,we got one weeks later. This thing was a mess of cords and it kinda sucks that it had to use its own separate AC adapter  So despite,Knuckles Chaotix, the 32X was my least favorite system. Also,my entire Library of 32X games were All 1995 X-Mas gifts. My 32X died in late-1996. One final thing, the 32X would be the Final Sega Console that I've ever owned.

Knuckles Chaotix - The best 32X game and my all time favorite game for the system. Love the music.

Mortal Kombat II - A good port of the Arcade hit,but Still inferior to the Super NES version.

WWF RAW - A decent port of WWF RAW. The most notable things about this version are the addition of Kwang as a hidden character and Lex Luger getting his proper theme.

WWF Wrestlemania The Arcade Game - A slightly enhanced port of the Genesis version. It's a good game overall. Later I would get the superior PSX version.

---------------------------------------------------

And Finally we have The Sega Master System.

The Sega Master System - I only played this console through Emulation and thus All games listed here are emulated. I played a bit of this System at my buddy's house in 1995 and thought it was interesting. So when I got into emulation,I downloaded an SMS emulator and a bunch of games. After experiencing the SMS,I still prefer the NES (and you'll realize why in the list).

Alex Kidd High-Tech World - Played this over at my buddy's house and couldn't get pat the first area. Years later, after playing it on Emulation,I Still can't get past the first area. Not a fun game at all.

Alex Kidd In Shinobi World - One of the better Alex Kidd games. It's basically a parody of the first Shinobi game, only with Alex Kidd and his cast.

Alex Kidd in Miracle World - The 1-Hit Death nature of this game and mediocre gameplay turned me off to this game. In fact, after experiencing them for myself,I can safely say that I'm not a fan of the Alex Kidd games at all. Thank God Sega replaced him with Sonic as their Mascot.

Wonder Boy - The Game that Hudson used as a base for their 1st Adventure Island game.

Wonder Boy in Monster Land - A decent action RPG,but very difficult.

Wonder Boy III: The Dragon's Trap - A decent but difficult action platformer. I apologize for not talking more about the Wonder Boy games, but I just didn't have many memorable experiences with them.

Golden Axe Warrior - A fun Zelda-Clone set in the world of Golden Axe.

Shinobi - The 1st Shinobi game is a extremely difficult, but a decent start to the franchise. Got as far as the 2nd stage.

After Burner - One of my 2 favorite SMS games. 8-Bit Dog-fighting fun.

Sonic The Hedgehog - A bit better than the Game Gear version, but still not that awesome of a game.

Sonic The Hedgehog 2 - Like with the 1st game,Sonic 2 is slightly better than it's Game Gear counterpart. That said, the game is Still not that great, due to most of the flaws of the Game Gear version being present.

Sonic Chaos - The 2nd of my 2 favorite SMS games. Sonic Chaos on the Master System is just as fun as it is on the Game Gear.

Phantasy Star - Despite having a cool Main Character, just like with it's Genesis Sequels,I Just Couldn't get into this game.

And thus ends this little list. The next time,I will be focusing on the Game Boy and Game Boy Color.

So until then,Stay Gold,Space Cowboys and Resist Modern Attitudes!!
