CD-Based Tech and Blast Processing 10 Fold! - My Experience with the Sega CD

Behold! The Sega CD, and all of its technological progressed glory!

Like the old saying goes, "You can never forget your first love." Which is exactly the case with an add on that is old as the Sega Genesis itself, the Sega CD.

When I was first introduced to this system, I was blown away with its innovations at the time, especially with the first two games I laid eyes upon, Ground Zero: Texas and The Amazing Spider-Man vs. The Kingpin (the latter is a remake of the original Sega Genesis version what was released in 1991). Many years later, I got this add on for the Sega Genesis around Christmas and my first games I got were Brutal: Paws of Fury and Star Wars: Rebel Assault. Then, more games came and I had a blast with them, especially with The Terminator, especially with the awesome music done by Tommy Tallarico (Tommy T for the win!) I was like a kid in a candy store having a Sega CD at your disposal. Unfortunately, like all good things, it didn't last forever.

Aside from the games getting scratched, the Sega CD's laser lens and disc drive stopped working properly. That, and losing one game I liked, too, Eternal Champions: Challenge from the Dark Side, due to poor treatment. I had poor experience with caring for CD based gaming consoles and its games at the time. And because of that, I threw away my Sega CD, and I haven't played those games ever since.

Fast Forward to today, I am now well-versed in taking care of CD-based gaming consoles and its games. If a disc has scratches, it is one Skip Doctor away of being cleaned. And when I needed to keep my console protected from dust and when it's not in use, I cover it up. With all the Playstations, Dreamcasts and Xboxs of the world, I still long for the day to play my Sega CD games once more. However, looking for another piece of Sega CD hardware is a bit hard to come by. Long ago, I wanted to get the Sega CDX as an alternative, so I don't have to worry about all the multiple hookups like both the Sega Genesis and Sega CD themselves. But like the aforementioned consoles, their laser lenses don't last forever, as well. Talk about being lost without a Sega CD to call your own, let alone going to sites like eBay.

The Mega SD by Terra Onion. A flash cart that plays not only Sega Genesis, Master System and 32X games (if you got a 32X system at toll), but also play Sega CD games, without the hassle of multiple hook-ups with your Sega CD hardware and its non-workable laser lens and CD drive. A must have for all Sega CD fans, like myself.

Fortunately, I was watching some YouTube videos and I have discovered that there is a way to play your Sega CD games once more, but without the use of hardware. It is called the Mega SD, it is a flash cart that you hook up to your Genesis console, which enables you to play Genesis, Master System and 32X games (if you got a 32X at your disposal). And here is the kicker, it also plays Sega CD games, as well. A must have for those who want to play Sega CD games once more, me being included. This will be my birthday or Christmas present cause I am planning to save up until that day comes. And who knows, one day, I will hear that bios load screen from version 2 of the Sega CD once more, which, to me at least, sounds like something NBC would use for their promos back in the late 1980s into the early 1990s before they cancelled the Saturday Morning cartoon block in 1992. The future is slowly getting brighter, especially for the first love CD based gaming consoles, like the Sega CD.

My Sega CD Collection as of 2024 (thus far):

Sewer Shark
Brutal: Paws of Fury
Star Wars: Rebel Assault
The Terminator
Chuck Rock II: Son of Chuck
Ground Zero: Texas
Dracula Unleashed
Dune

Like I said, I use to have Eternal Champions: Challenge from the Dark Side in my collection, but it was broken due to my inexperience with CD based games and its consoles at the time. Let the my experience serve as a reminder to always treat your CD-based consoles and their games with the upmost care and respect. Take it from me, I know.

Until next time, gamers. Stay frosty.

Saraba da (Farewell), for now.

During the break,The 6 remaining teams chat. After the intermission,the Semi-Finals begin. First Match is The Dragons of Rage v. Team Goddess in a dangerous Jungle. Team Goddess Wins. Next, we go to an Abandoned Clock Tower, where Golden Emblem battle Guns n' Heels. Guns n' Heels win....but barely. And Finally we have The Fantasy Fighters v. The SPS win. Lady Lana checks the ratings and is pleased so far. She considers keeping the Winners here forever,just to keep the ratings high.

After a brief intermission, The Finals Begin inside a Wrestling Ring. It's Guns 'n Heels v. Team Goddess v. Super Pink Sisters. After a tough battle, The Super Pink Sisters win. After the other 2 Teams are teleported to the dungeon, The Grand Champions,D.I.C.,arrive and are ready to fight. A Steel Cage surrounds the Ring.

It's a tough battle,but Peach and Amy defeat the Champions and become Champions. Lady Lana congratulates the Pink girls for conquering Her Champions,but now it's time to determine Who the "Greatest Lady Of Them All" Truly Is!

The Girls are reluctant,Lady Lana threatens the lives of some of the captives. Should the Pink Heroines refuse to fight, a select bunch of her captives Will be executed and that losing a few Pawns wouldn't mean much to her.

The 2 have no choice and fight,while they are fighting,Amy and Peach get an idea - Regardless of who wins,they'll use their wish to take everyone home.

Peach defeats Amy and Amy is teleported to the dungeon. Lady Lana congratulates Princess Peach and summons Zabrina to give Peach her Money and grant her the Wish. Princess Peach wishes for All of the Contestants to be returned to their Home Worlds.

Lady Lana tells Peach that she'll Never allow her pawns to leave and tells Zabrina to cancel the wish. Peach calls Lady Lana out, but Lana tells Peach that she Can't wish for that, because she intends on enslaving everyone to compete in her games forever and keep the ratings for her show high.

Peach is shocked. Lady Lana decides to give Peach a chance to fight for her fellow "pawns" freedom..If She survives against..Her. Lady Lana jumps into the Ring and fights Princess Peach. Peach,tired from her battle,is almost defeated,but her strong heart helps her see this fight through. She's fighting for Everyones sake..unlike Lady Lana.

The Mushroom Princess pulls though and defeats Lady Lana. Lady Lana is angry at the fact that,not only did she lose on Galactic TV,but she Now has too keep her word,or else her reputation as Show Host will be tarnished. Lady Lana has Zabrina teleport All of the Participants back home.

Before she departs,Princess Peach tells Lady Lana to Never attempt to enslave again and to put People ahead of Ratings. Lady Lana is annoyed at Peach's words.

A few days later, Princess Peach and Amy are at Peach's Castle having Tea and talking about their previous adventure and plan on going on more together.

The End!

Jason's Gallery - Cody Rhodes: Burning Determination!

"When one good story ends, an even better one begins!" - Cody Rhodes

My fanart tribute to one of the most popular wrestler in this day in age, The American Nightmare: Cody Rhodes. From a modest rookie to a seasoned vet (and with a large fanbase to boot), Cody has done the Rhodes name very proud, whether it was in Ring of Honor, TNA, New Japan, AEW and especially WWE. Cause no matter what happens down the road, he will always be a champion to us. His father would be proud.

Jason's Gallery - Kento and Sting: The Rookie and The Icon

Sting: "Kento, you are going to be a great wrestler someday. The face paint looks good on you, little Stinger, but stick to being true blue, just like me. You are unique, in the most Hardrock-ish kind of way. (chuckles)"

Kento: "As far back as I can remember, aside from watching every single action movie starring Jackie Chan, my other love is watching professional wrestling. Even though I am a Ronin Warrior, who fights evil demons, spirits and overall bad juju on a daily basis, pro-wrestling is in my blood. You had your favorites, past and present, such as Hulk Hogan, The Ultimate Warrior, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, Ric Flair, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, Chris Jericho, Jushin "Thunder" Liger, Shinsuke Nakamura, Kazuchika Okada, Tetsuya Naito, Kenny Omega, and Hiroshi Tanahashi, among others. But of all the wrestlers I know, no wrestler is that greater of an icon than the man called Sting. Growing up a wrestling fan, I have seen the Stinger in action, not just physically, but also emotionally, especially being a wild man on the mic. His charisma and his determination were second to none. Every no sell, every howl, every Stinger Splash, every Scorpion something something, either the Deathlock or Death Drop, that man is as great as his legend. Through my training from my friend/partner/mentor Bass Armstrong, I was determined to be like the Stinger himself. But, if I learn one important thing about that man, it is that, no matter what phase of his career he has gone through, whether as a face, or a heel, or somewhere in between, or being stoic like The Crow or crazy like The Joker, whether he has a blond crew cut or long, flowing brown hair and whatever facepaint he dons, whether in the ring or out of it, Sting is always true blue. He is the one guy you want to pal around with, share some cream soda together, exchange stories, crack jokes, telling him about your problems, resulting in him giving advice to me into bettering myself. Aside from Bass and some of my idols, Sting is the one wrestler I can always depend on. Cause whenever he is in the ring, it is always showtime every time. In short, no matter what some people say about him, but in a rather cruel or fraudulent manner, Sting is the one wrestler who will never, EVER steer away from his true path. And for all the little Stingers out there, it couldn't be more true. And whenever I no sell a power move or a steel chair in the back, I will always think of the Icon himself. And to quote the man himself, the only thing for sure about Sting, is nothing's for sure. But as long as there are fans out there believing in him, everything, is for sure."

My fanart tribute to the now recently retired icon of professional wrestling, the man called Sting. And why Kento's involvement in this drawing? Simple, it is all part of Kento's journey as a pro-wrestler, and whenever he no sells any power move, steel chair to the back, guitar shot on the head or get thrown through a table, he does it in honor of the Stinger. Thanks for all the memories, Stinger. You truly are an icon among men.

IT'S STIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING!!!

The Ressurection,Near-Death,and Revival of WWE!

The Following is a conclusion of My Rise and Fall of The WWE Timeline post.

Found Here: https://retro-rebellion.blogspot.com/2021/06/the-rise-and-fall-of-wwe-timeline.html?m=0 and here https://retro-rebellion.blogspot.com/2021/11/the-death-of-wwe-complete-timeline.html

Due to recent events,I thought I'd do this. Anyway,here we go.

2022 - The Post-Doomsday Era Continues, WWE is an undead company at this point. But...there will be some hope for a Resurrection in the coming months.

In June, amidst an investigation by WWE's Board of Directors into reported hush money paid to a former employee by Vince McMahon following an affair, Mr. McMahon stepped down as chairman and CEO of WWE, but he was Still in charge of creative. Stephanie McMahon,would become the interim chairwoman of WWE.

A short time later, Vince McMaon officially retired, Following Vince's retirement, Stephanie McMahon was officially named chairwoman while she and Nick Khan were named co-CEOs of WWE. Triple H would take over as head of creative, while resuming his position as Executive Vice President of Talent Relations and later being promoted to Chief Content Officer.

With Vince retired,and with Triple H fully in charge of the creative,WWE's would experience a revival. This was the beginning of a New Era - The Ressurection Era!!

SummerSlam was the first WWE pay-per-view event to be held under the leadership of Stephanie McMahon and Triple H. In August ,Shawn Michaels was promoted to WWE Vice President of Talent Development Creative And eventually Boss of NXT. In September,,WWE made Triple H,Chief Content Officer.

Sometime in the year,NXT 2.0 would be gone forever and turn back into the NXT that we all knew and loved.
===========================================================

2023 - In January,Vince McMahon stated his intention to return to the company ahead of media rights negotiations. WWE's previous media rights deals with Fox and USA Network expire in 2024. On Later that month,Stephanie McMahon resigned as Chairwoman and co-CEO, also on the same day Vince McMahon re-assumed the role of executive Chairman of WWE,while Nick Khan became the sole CEO. That same month.

JPMorgan were hired to handle a possible sale of the company, with rumored suitors being various media companies

With McMahon back,the WWE would begin to suffer once more.

In April, WWE and Endeavor reached a deal for the WWE to merge with UFC parent company, Zuffa ,to form a new company, TKO Group Holdings.

Shane McMahon had attempted to purchase the UFC multiple times during the 2000s, but Vince talked him out of doing so. Endeavor would receive a 51% stake in "TKO", while WWE's shareholders would get a 49% stake.  This would mark the first time that WWE would not be majority-controlled by the McMahon family.

Vince McMahon would serve as executive chairman,with Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel becoming CEO, and Mark Shapiro as president and chief operating officer.

Triple H would remain in his role as Head of Creative, And Nick Khan would become president of WWE post-merger, similar to Dana White's role as president of UFC.

The deal additionally granted McMahon life tenure as executive chairman, the right to nominate five WWE representatives on the 11 member board, as well as veto rights over certain actions by the new company; eventually, the TKO board of directors would increase from 11 members to 13 members.

In addition, McMahon will own 34% of the new company, with a 16% voting interest. Despite the merger, the two promotions, WWE and the UFC, would continue to run as separate divisions of the newly merged company

With Vince McMahon back in control, a New Dark Era was forming, and WWE,despite a recent revival,looked like it was going to die once again. The WWE's Ressurection was becoming short lived.

The merger was finalized in September. The first television show produced under the TKO banner was WWE NXT.  Emanuel has also held influence over the company, including with the company's broadcast deals which occurred since the TKO Holdings merger.

Things were slowly turning into a Landfill and it seemed like Vince McMahon's Twisted Reign would continue until the day he was sent to Hell.

But then...a miracle happened the following year

==========================================================

2024 - In January 2024, a lawsuit was filed by a woman named Janel Grant,who accused Vince McMahon,along with John Laurinaitis and a WWE wrestler who was also a former UFC fighter of sexually trafficking her and repeatedly sexually assaulted her during 2020–2021. Grant alleged that she was subjected to "extreme cruelty and degradation" by McMahon, including being defecated upon during a sexual encounter.

One day after the report of the claims, Vince McMahon resigned from TKO. In a statement, McMahon said the decision was made "out of respect for the WWE Universe, the extraordinary TKO business and its board members and shareholders, partners and constituents, and all of the employees"

With Vince (hopefully) Gone from WWE forever,the Ball is Entirely in Triple H's court. With Triple H in charge,WWE was slowly reviving. The Revival Era had Begun. Though just a transitional era,The Revival Era will prove to be an important one.

In February,WWE and Netflix made a multi-year deal to air WWE RAW. The week after,the USA Network would secure the rights to Smackdown. NXT would remain with the USA Network.

RAW's move to Netflix and Smackdown's move back to the USA Network would begin in January of 2025.

=======================================================

And thus ends the WWE Timeline (for now). I don't intend on continuing this, so don't bother looking for a continuation. Cut-Off Point!!

Speaking of Cut-Off Points,When RAW moves to Netflix next year,I'm gonna stop watching, not just WWE,but Modern Wrestling in General. I'm gonna stick with either the Old School Stuff or Playthroughs of the Video Games.

And, That's all I have to say about this. So until next time,Space Cowboys,Stay Gold and Resist Modern Attitudes!

The Retro King Has Spoken!

Mario and Sonic 3 - All-Stars Clash!

Deep within the Special Zones of Sonic the Hedgehog's Universe, A Malevolent Being called Tabuu (the same dude from super smash bros brawl.) and his Minions have stolen the Chaos Emeralds. Knuckles senses this and warns Sonic and Tails,while the 2 are on a fishing trip. Tabuu arrives and introduces himself and wants to test his new Powers on the Legendary Hero of this World,Sonic the Hedgehog. He powers up using the Chaos Emeralds. He beats Sonic and retreats.

Sonic rushes after him and ends up at Rosalina's observatory in the Nintendoverse. Tabuu battles Rosalina and defeats her, He enters the Warp to Star Road and retrieves the Cosmic Stars.Sonic goes after him,but is too late, Tabuu has all 7 stars. He then summons his minions to keep Sonic busy ,while he retreats back to the observatory. Rosalina confronts Tabuu, but with the stars power,defeats her easily.

Tabuu leaves for Hyrule, where he senses another powerful item to get - The Triforce. Tabuu arrives at the Great Temple aka The Temple Of Hylia in Death Valley,where he senses where the Triforce is.  Zelda senses Tabuu and sends Link to investigate. Link arrives at the Temple of Hylia and confronts Tabuu. They fight.

Back on Rosalina's Cosmic Observatory,Sonic and Rosalina are chatting about Tabuu and mentions that she has contacted Mario and that he should be arriving soon. Mario arrives and greets Rosie and Sonic. Rosalina explains that Tabuu is an Interdenominational Being from a Realm called Subspace and that ever since he existed,Tabuu has been both Power Hungry and Arrogant. He sees all beings as inferior to him and will do anything to gain Ultimate Power.

Rosalina senses Tabuu in Hyrule battling Link...likely for the Triforce. She sends Mario and Sonic to Hyrule to help Link with Tabuu.

Mario,Sonic,and Link battle Tabuu,but he overpowers them. Suddenly,Samus Aran arrives and demands Tabuu return the Chozo Crystal that he stole earlier. When asked,Samus explains that the Chozo Crystal is an Egg-Shaped Crystal that can enhance ones natural abilities 50 Fold. Tabuu defeats all 4 Heroes and gets the Triforce within the Temple.

After getting the Triforce, Tabuu declares himself to be The Ultimate God!!! Instead of finishing the heroes off, he decides to punish them a more unique way. He sends each of them to a far away World,where they'll be lost forever.

Each hero ends up in a Strange World. Mario lands in the World of Pokemon. Sonic lands in the World of Shinobi,Link ends up in the World of Golden Ax,and Samus ends up in the World of Bayonetta.The heroes explore the Worlds and meet the Main Heroes (Anti-Hero in Bayo's case) of said Worlds. Mario meets Red,the Kanto/Johto Pokemon Champion. Sonic meets Jo Musashi. Link meets with Gilius Thunderhead,and Samus meets Bayonetta.

After talking about the current situation with Tabuu, the Native Heroes (and Anti-Hero) decide to join the fight.

Suddenly a Portal opens in each of the Worlds,mostly thanks to Tabuu tampering with the Cosmic Balance. The Heroes jump into the Portals,hoping it'll take them back to the Nintendoverse...unfortunately,it takes them to other Worlds/Universes instead.

Link and Gilius end up in the World of Fire Emblem,where they run into Lucina. Sonic and Jo Musashi end up in the World of Streets of Rage,where they come face to face with Blaze Fielding. Mario and Red end up in the Realm of Pac,where they meets Pac-Man. And Samus and Bayonetta end up in the World of Soul Calibur, where they meet Sophitia.

After recruiting the Native Heroes to stop Tabuu, more portals open and they take them...to more strange Worlds.

Mario's Team end up in the World of Tekken,where they meet Jin Kazama. Sonic's Team ends up in the World of Metal Slug,where they meet Fiolina Germi. Link's Team ends up in the World of Samurai Showdown,where they meet Haohmaru. And Team Samus enter the Devil May Cry World,where they meet Dante.

After their journey though those Worlds and recruiting the Native Heroes, The Teams head though more Portals.

Mario's Team arrives in the World of the King of Fighters,where they meet and recruit Terry Bogard. Sonic's Team ends up in the World of Mega Man, where they Meet and Recruit Mega Man. Link's Team ends up in the World of Resident Evil,where they meet the STARS Team and end up recruiting Jill Valentine. And Samus' Team ends up in the World of Contra, where they recruit Bill Rizer.

As the heroes work their way back home though various worlds and universes, recruiting various heroes to help them fight Tabuu. Tabuu and his Minions are facing off against the Heroes (and villains) of the Nintendoverse, as they put up a resistance against him. With his newly enhanced powers,Tabuu deals with all of them easily.

Meanwhile, Mario's Team ends up in the World of Street Fighter, where they meet and recruit Ryu. Sonic's Team ends up in the World of Bomberman,where they meet and recruit the Bomb Throwing Hero. Team Link winds up in Castlevania, where they meet and recruit Simon Belmont. And Team Samus ends up in the Metal Gear World, meeting and recruiting Solid Snake.

The Next World Team Mario goes to is the World of Chrono Trigger, where they meet Crono and Friends and recruit Crono himself. Sonic's Team ends up in the World of Banjo Kazooie,where they meet and recruit Banjo and Kazooie. Link's team ends up in the World of Final Fantasy 7, where they meet the FF7 Team and Recruit Cloud Strife. And Samus's Team ends up in the World of Halo,where they meet and Recruit Master Chief.

Mario's Team then ends up in the Realm of Battletoads,where they meet and recruit the Toads. Sonic's Team ends up in the World of Crash Bandicoot, where they meet and recruits Crash himself. Link's Team ends up in the World of Dragon Quest,where they meet and recruit Erdrick. And Samus' Team arrives in the World of Tomb Raider, where they meet and recruit Lara Croft.

After visiting more Worlds and recruiting more Heroes,The Teams reunite and arrive back to the Nintendoverse, where they confront Tabuu and his minions. Tabuu is surprised Mario,Link,Samus,and Sonic made it back. After some back and forth, the Fight Begins.

BTW,the other recruited heroes are - Shante from the World of Shante, Billy and Jimmy Lee from The Double Dragon World,Spyro the Dragon from the Spyro the Dragon World,Ryu Hayabusa from the World of Ninja Guiden,Shovel Knight from the World of Shovel Knight,Rayman from the World of Rayman,and Sub-Zero from the World of Mortal Kombat.

Tabuu's minions are destroyed and Tabuu beats them all with his power, but soon gets tired. according to Rosalina, Tabuu can't stay too long outside his Realm,otherwise he'll weaken. Samus deduces that the Chozo Crystal might have increased his powers and abilities, but,as a nasty side effect,also might have increased the strength of his weakness too. The heroes attack Tabuu and damage him.

Tabuu, angered that of his own weakness still exists even with the Ultimate Power in his possession,decides to finish everyone off in his Own Realm,so he teleports everyone to His World - The Realm of Subspace.

Once there, Tabuu decides to let the heroes suffer in his Realm before he obliterates them. He turns Everyone,except for Mario and Sonic into Trophies,which he then tosses in various directions. Tabuu tells Mario and Sonic that the only way to save their Allies is to find their Trophies...which are now scattered thought the Realm of Sub Space. Which he knows will be a great struggle for them,since they are in an Unknown Realm,that they will never survive.

He then realizes that The Chozo Crystal has amplified his weakness, so he discards it. Tabuu heads back tho The Nintendoverse to continue conquering it. Mario and Sonic take the Chozo Crystal and begin their long and dangerous quest.

They face many many dangers,but use the Chozo Crystal to help them survive this Unknown Realm,though use it sparingly,knowing that the Crystal also amps their weaknesses too. They find the Trophies in various places of Sub Space,but each time they find one,they are attacked by a Spirit Clone of their allies.

After defeating a Spirit Clone, they get a Trophy. After collecting All of the Trophies, Mario and Sonic try to find a way out. Rosalina appears and tells them that she finally found them and is relieved that they are alright and tells them that Tabuu has taken over the Nintendoverse with an iron fist and has established a space fortress. She takes them and the Trophies back to her Planetoid.

Rosalina restores the Trophy Heroes to normal and explains that they need to get the Chaos Emeralds, Cosmic Stars, and the Triflorce away from Tabuu to stand a chance. Sonic presents Rosie with the Chozo Crystal and tells her to take care of it. Rosalina takes the Crystal and promises to take care of it.

From his Space Fortress,Tabuu senses the heroes and is annoyed. He telepathically invites them to his Fortress to end things once and for all. Rosalina teleports Mario,Sonic,Samus, and Link to the Fortress,while she sends the rest of the heroes to battle Tabuu's minions, who have occupied various Worlds. She wishes them luck and that the future of the Entire Omniverse is at stake.

Mario,Sonic,Link,and Samus Aran arrive and fight though Tabuu's space fortress.

Meanwhile,Pac Man,Banjo Kazooie,Spiro the Dragon and Crash Bandicoot battle to liberate The Mushroom World from Tabuu's minions,along side the Heroes of the Mushroom World..and Wario,Waluigi,Bowser,and Capt. Syrup.

Pokemon Champion Red and Rayman helps Ness and Lucas save the World of Mother.

Crono, Cloud Strife,Lucina and Erdrick battle to save the World of Fire Emblem (al long with the other FE heroes of lucina's time).

The Quartet of Legendary Heroes remember Tabuu's weakness of growing weaker as he remains outside Subspace for long periods of time, so they decide.to play the long game. It doesn't take long for Tabuu to catch on to what the Heroes are doing and Power-Up using the Triforce, Chaos Emeralds, and Cosmic Stars.

The heroes are defeated. Rosalina arrives with Knuckles and the Master Emerald to save the day. Tabuu expresses interest in the Master Emerald and intends on taking it for himself after the battle.

After an explanation, Knux and Rosie keep Tabuu occupied,while The Quartet of Heroes energize themselves with the Master Emerald.

The Master Emerald powers-up the Heroes into Hyper Forms. Mario becomes Mega Mario, Sonic becomes Hyper Sonic, Link becomes a Lighter version of Fierce Deity Link called Just Deity Link,and Samus gains new armor called the Master Armor.

In their new Hyper Forms, The heroes beat the Chaos Emeralds out of Tabuu,causing him to lose power. They then do it again and get the Cosmic Stars back, then the Triforce. With all of the Sacred items back in the hands of good,Tabuu is weak now.

Tabuu is destroyed and his Fortress starts to crumble. Rosalina teleports everyone and the Sacred Items back to her observatory. With Tabuu destroyed,the minions explode into nothingess.

Hours later, on Rosalina's planetoid. Rosalina addresses the Heroes and thanks them all for their help. Link uses the Triforce to restore the Nintendoverse. Rosalina teleports the Cosmic Stars back to the Star Road. Mario,Sonic,Link,and Samus are back to normal.

Sonic has the Chaos Emeralds in hand,while Knuckles has the Master Emerald. Sonic and Mario say their good-byes to their newfound allies before Rosalina transports them back to their own Worlds and Universes.

Before going their separate ways,Mario and Sonic promise to have another cool adventure together one day.

After all of the Heroes are gone, Rosalina returns to her job as Guardian of the Nintendoverse.

The End!!!

Mega Man Factoid Corrections

In March of 2019 I created a list of Mega Man Fun Facts. Well, Just recently, thanks to new info, I found some of my Facts to be Wrong. So today, I'll be making corrections to them.

Original Fact: There were a few unused ideas that never made it to the first game. There were plans include 8 Robot Masters instead of just 6. An Aquatic Robot Master and the Legendary Bond Man. Both Masters never made it past the planning stages,but unlike the potential "Water Man",Bond Man received concept art and was even featured in a Manga by the legendary Hitoshi Ariga,creator of the Mega Man Megamix and Mega Man Gigamix Mangas.

Correction: Nope. Besides Bond Man, the 8 Robot Masters designed at that point were Cut Man, Guts Man,Bomb Man,Elec Man,Fire Man,Water Man, Oil Man and Bond Man. Water Man was reworked into Ice Man and Oil Man got cut along with Bond Man. Oil Man was later revived for Mega Man Powered Up,though with a redesign.

Water Man's weapon fired bubbles the player could ride on. And Oil Man's weapon made enemies slip.

Additionally, Bond Man had a different design to the more commonly-known Ariga one, and he used a handheld helicopter blade to fly. This helicopter is also included as a weapon, likely as a utility before the Magnet Beam was created.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Original Fact: Mega Man was loosely based on Astroboy. Both are robots created by a kindly scientist and fight evil. Plus in MM1's ending,Rock has a similar hairstyle to the legendary anime hero. And,to add on to that,Mega Man was originally gonna be an Astroboy game,but Capcom lost the licsence.

Inafune and co. were disappointed,but got over it quickly promising to create something even better than Astroboy. And,sure enough,they succeeded.

Correction: Inafune and Co Once Thought about getting the Astro Boy license to create a game,but instead decided to create Mega Man,who was inspired by Astro Boy.

So,Inafune and Capcom Never pursued the Astro Boy License,just thought about it.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Original Fact: Due to Sony of America's hardassness,Mega Man Battle and Chase was not allowed to come to America,so it didn't. However,it was included as a hidden game in the Mega Man X Collection.

For an Earlier example of Sony America's hardassness,we go back to Late 1996-Early 1997. Where Sony America initially refused to let any more 2D games on their console. But Capcom (as well as a few other companies,such as konami) hit back by threatening to never release their 3D games on their console in America. Sony submitted and 2D games were allowed to be on American Playstations.

So what's this got to do with Mega Man? Well,the 2D Capcom games in question were Mega Man 8 and Mega Man X4.

Correction: Sony America and Capcom USA were unsure if Mega Man 8 and Mega Man X4 would sell in the States,due to most American Gamers moving on to 3D gaming and oil to this fire were American Gaming Journalists,who claimed that Playstation Gamers wouldn't be interested in 2D platformers. This line of thinking was eventually discarded by Capcom USA and Sony of America and the Mega Man Games were released Stateside.  .

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Original Fact: One last tidbit,Mega Man 8 was initially gonna be a Saturn exclusive,but Sony of Japan protested heavily,so a Playstation version was also made. However,to be true to their original intentions,Capcom made the Saturn version of 8 the definitive version of the game,by giving it extra content (such as extra menus and battles with cut man and wood man).

Correction: Capcom Always intended for Mega Man 8 to be on the Sony Playstation, And Sony of America agreed to approve the game if it had something special over the Saturn version. What they got was a collector's full-color anthology booklet enclosed with the first editions of the North American release.

The Saturn version has more content due to Capcom having the extra time to polish the game after the PS1 release.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Original Fact: Mega Man Starforce might've been planned to be a Mega Man Battle Network title at one point. There are some unused models hidden within the game for Lan and MegaMan.EXE. There's even a 3D map of AC/DC Town hidden within the game.

For unknown reasons,Capcom decided to make the game into a whole new series instead.

Correction: Nope. The EXE/Battle Network models were simply for testing purposes. No 3D EXE/Battle Network game was ever considered.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Original Fact: Did ya know that thanks to Sega of America,we never received the Genesis exclusive,Mega Man:The Wily Wars in cartridge form. Instead Sega wanted the game to be an exclusive to their then-upcoming Sega Channel. Sega got what they wanted,but we Mega Man fans didn't,as many of us didn't own a subscription to the Sega Channel. The Sega Channel wasn't that great to begin with. While America was screwed over,Europe got an official cartridge.

Correction: This is more of an Update,than a correction. Just a bit after posting this Fact,The Wily Wars was released on a limited edition Sega Genesis Cartridge in North America. AND,later,was a game on The Sega Genesis Mini 1. And,Later Still,was made playable on the Nintendo Switch via the Online Service.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Original Fact: In Blizzard Buffalo's PS1 and PC intro,his name is misspelled. He's called Bilzard Buffalo in that intro. This is Capcom Europe's stupid error,since they translated the game. It seems that Capcom USA isn't the only ones guilty of translation errors.

As stated earlier,This Version of the game never made it to the States as a single disk. Though,it was part of The Mega Man X Collection.

Correction: I TOTALLY FORGOT that The PC version of Mega Man X3 DID come Stateside and WAS translated by Capcom USA. Even The Retro King makes mistakes. Also, a bit of an apology to Capcom Europe for blaming them for this dumb translation. Sorry Mates!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Original Fact: Capcom and Marvel Comics planned to create a comic adaption of the show,but it never came to be. Again,thanks to the show itself being canned.

Correction: Nope. It was Hamilton Publishing/Comics that was doing the adaption,Not Marvel. The Comic was being worked on by The Day brothers, Dan and David, who Did work on various Marvel Comics projects. Because of this,there was confusion of the Comic being worked on by Marvel,instead of Hamilton. Which was understandable.

And so,my Incorrect Factoid Correction is finished. This is something I needed to do and I'm glad I Finally have it out of the way.

So, Until Next Time Space Cowboys, Stay Gold and Resist Modern Attitudes!

Jason's Gallery: In Memoriam - Akira Toriyama

My small tribute to the legendary manga artist, many considered the father of Dragon Ball himself, Akira Toriyama. He truly belongs to the holy trinity of anime and manga artists, him, Naoko Takeuchi and Osamu Tezuka. Thank you for all the memories and giving me a guardian angel in Son Goku. No amount of Dragon Balls won't bring you back now. Godspeed, good sir.

A Super Legend's Eternal Mystical Adventure! The Passing of Akira Toriyama!

We couldn't believe it, when we heard the news today. But Super Legendary Manga and Anime Artist and Bird Studios founder, Akira Toriyama has died. He Cause of death is Unknown. He was 68

Akira Toryama was one of the greatest Manga and Anime artists of all time. He broke into the biz with his very first series,Dr. Slump in 1980. But his most famous work was Dragon Ball,which he created in 1984.

But that's not all, Akira Toriyama's also also did art for the Dragon Quest games,as well as the Legendary SNES RPG,Chrono Trigger.

One fun note,about Akira Toriyama is that he has an Avatar called Tori-bot,which he sometimes inserts into some of his works. Toriyama also has a caricature of himself, which makes random appearances in his Manga.

He Also made a cameo appearance in Chrono Trigger.

Personally, I always a huge fan of Toriyama's art style and Dragon Ball Z Is my All Time Favorite Anime. Plus, I Love Chrono Trigger.

Thank you So Much, Toriyama-sama. Thank you for everything. We will miss you like mad. May you rest in peace.

A Horseman and a Former Bodyguard - More Passing is Pro-Wrestling

This just in, and it's another sad one in the world of Pro-Wrestling.

This week, we announce the passing of two legends in their own right.

First off, the passing of Ole Anderson. Ole was best known for being one of the founding members of the greatest faction in all of wrestling, The Four Horsemen, alongside his kayfabe brother, Double A himself, Arn Anderson. He was 81 years old.

And second one to pass (and since I have much more memory of this guy, anyway), Mike Jones, known to everyone growing up in the old WWF as Virgil. Named after the real name for the American Dream Dusty Rhodes, Virgil started his career as a servant and bodyguard to the "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase. However by 1991 Royal Rumble (and with encouragement by "Rowdy" Roddy Piper), Virgil turned on DiBiase and forged his own path, which culminated in him winning the Million Dollar Championship from the aforementioned DiBiase at SummerSlam 91. But, after that one moment of fame, Virgil, in his later career was reduced in being a jobber. And he continued that role in WCW under multiple aliases, such as Vincent (and part of the nWo, no less), Shane, Curly Bill, Soulman Jones (his first ringname in the beginning of his career) and even his own real name. Not the same as it use to be, we will always remember him for having his one moment to shine around 1991. He died after a bout with stage two colon cancer and having multiple strokes from time to time. Virgil was 61 years old.

Let us remember these two legends for what they have left behind. Godspeed.

(TAPS plays)

Alan Robert Rogowski (Ole Anderson)

Michael Jones (Virgil)

Jason's Gallery - Tara Strong Tribute

Hey there, Toonsters,

Jason here with some more articular goodness. This time around, here are some dedicated to one of my favorite voice actors, the sweet, talented and adorkable Tara Strong. So, enough chit-chat. Let's get rollin'.

Upper left; Raven, Upper right; Bubbles, Lower left; Timmy Turner, Lower right; Batgirl, and in the middle; Twilight Sparkle and Melody

One of my earliest works. I wasn't a much a pro at the time, but it was a start, though. And as always, the middle is where my favorite characters go.

The next two, I have gotten better, thanks to one of those how to draw anime character books. I drew them as a favor from a friend of mine, who went to Fan Expo in Vancouver not long ago. Let's just say Jodi Benson wasn't the only one who attended. Ms. Strong, and Grey DeLisle-Griffin also attended, but I will take about Ms. Griffin another time. Anyway, presenting my latest fanart for Ms. Strong herself.

The spiting image of Megan Williams and Firefly, as they fly above the world of Equestria, Melody, the daughter of Ariel, and her dear friend, Twilight Sparkle, a former commoner unicorn who became an alicorn princess. No one can define true friendship better than these two. They go well like Peanut Butter and Jelly. May the magic from these two live on forever, in both the sea, and in the sky.

And the second?

Wanting to give up her criminal ways and break away from her soon to be former "Puddin", The Joker, Harley Quinn wants to be a superhero, starting by palling up with two of those heroes, Batgirl and Raven. For someone who is "Looney Tunes", Harley has a funny way of making friends.

Harley: "Hey there, you guys! I want to be a hero, just like you. If you show me the ropes, I will be as great a hero I can be. We are going to be best pals!"

(Harley huddles Batgirl and Raven; Harley smiles like Cheshire Cat)

Raven: "How do you put up with this?"

Batgirl: "Don't ask, Raven. Just go with it."

Raven (deadpan): "Fine."

And there you have it. According to one of my friends, she gave either or to one of the FEV officials cause she didn't have the time to meet her the same day she met Jodi Benson. Whether or not she got and like either or not, remains to be seen. Perhaps in a video short on either Facebook or on YouTube. But until then, at least I am continue to do my service, for my fandom and such. Until next time.

Saraba da (Farwell), for now.

Top All-Time Favorite Wrestling Promos

Today,I'm gonna be listing a bunch of my favorite Retro Wrestling Promos. And for the hell of it,I'll be listing various Interview Segments too. Like always,this list is in no particular order.

Hard Times - During his heated feud with "Nature Boy" Ric Flair,"The Anerican Dream" Dusty Rhodes cuts his famous "Hard Times" Promo. Dusty starts talking about hard times and how flair put him on hard times too.  He then pleads for the fans help and then asks them to not let him down.
============================================
Rhodes Rage - WCW In Late 1999,on either Nitro or Thunder,Dustin Rhodes returned to the company as a Dark and Sinister character,called Seven. And for his first promo,his rages against the terrible Russo-ruled WCW and the disrespect that they've shown his Father,Dusty. He even takes some pot-shots at WWF and Goldust. He then promises to make the WCW Bosses lives a living hell. Good stuff from WCW circa 1999 and 2000 were so very few and far between,but this promo amused me so much and Dustin was definitely speaking for all of us,who really hated the direction WCW was going.
=====================================================
The TRUE birth of Mr. McMahon - The "Bret Screwed Bret" interview. A week after the Montreal Screwjob, on RAW, Vince McMahon did an interview with Jim Ross about the incident and Bret Hart's departure to WCW. Now,I'm not gonna go into the Montreal Screwjob here - That deserves it's own post,instead I'm gonna just say that McMahon screwed Bret at the 1997 Survivor Series, after he changed the planned finish behind The Hit Man's back. McMahon here played the victim and most Fans saw it as disgusting,so they began hating on Vince. To me,This was the True Birth of the Evil Mr. McMahon.
================================================================
I Own WCW! - In mid-to late March of 2001, The WCW was bought out by Vince McMahon and the WWF. McMahon did the opening monologue for the Final Monday Nitro,where he gloats about his Victory in the Monday Night Wars by Buying his competition - He Now Owns WCW.

McMahon goes on to tell the WCW fans that he will be addressing them and the Superstars of WCW later. He closes out by saying that the very fate of WCW is in His hands.

This moment was surreal for many wrestling fans,who never thought they'd see that day. Such a historic moment.
=====================================================
WCW Gets Rowdy - Roddy Piper's WCW Debut near the end of Halloween Havoc 1996. Hollywood Hogan ,with the Giant's help,just defeated "Macho Man'" Randy Savage and retained his World Title. As Hogan was cutting his "Back Patting" post-match promo, he is interrupted by a surprise visitor - Rowdy Roddy Piper! Hogan is shocked to see him. Piper claims he came to break Hogan's "monotony". After warning The Giant to stay back, Piper cuts his promo. In said promo, Piper mentions that he is not there to represent WCW, his past with Hogan,and other things. He even mentions WrestleMania 1. Piper talks about how he is just as big an Icon as Hogan is.

Hogan gets to speak after and admits this. However, as Piper is about to leave the Ring, Hogan insults him. After a bit of back and forth between Piper and Hogan,the night ends with a stare down between the 2. I love this promo. And Piper's arrival in WCW was a nice surprise to everyone.
=======================================================
Hulkamania is Pukamania - In one of his Final Pre-WrestleMania 5 promos, "Macho Man" Randy Savage raged against Hulk Hogan  Here, he talks about Hogan not knowing where he's coming from, Pukamaniacs that he doesn't need,and more. Ending the promo by declaring that Hulkamania is dead.

You can really feel the hatred Savage had in this promo for Hogan. Amazing.
===================================================================
The Heel Turn Seen and Felt Around The World - The Legendary Heel Turn of Hulk Hogan and the Birth of the nWo at WCW Bash at the Beach '96.

Team WCW was down one man and were getting beat by the Outsiders. Suddenly, Hulk Hogan arrives, seemingly to help "Macho Man" Randy Savage and Sting. But in a moment that Shocked the World, Hogan attacked Savage and joined the Outsiders. It was the Heel turn seen and felt around the Globe.

After the match, "Mean" Gene Okerlund questions Hogan about his decision. Hogan gives him the answer via a legendary promo, all while garbage was being thrown into the ring by the booing fans. Hogan talks about how he made Wrestling and how he was just using WCW and how he's happy to to associate himself with Hall and Nash. He also tells the fans that they can "Stick It, Brothers!". He then forms what he calls "The New World Order of Wrestling!"

After the promo, Hogan and his 2 new allies mock the fans by posing. And from that point on, WCW would begin it's nearly 2 Year winning streak against the WWF.
=====================================================================
Good Ol' Disgruntled J.R. - On a Monday Night RAW in September of 1996,Jim Ross cuts a promo on how the WWF and Vince McMahon had mistreated him. He even talks a bit about his bells palsy. After the promo,he introduces us to the Fake Razor Ramon.

This was supposed to be the start of J.R.'s heel turn,but his promo was so sincere,that the opposite effect happened and J.R. became one of the most beloved Announcers in Wrestling. Also the debut of the Fake Razor Ramon (played by Rick Bognar aka Rick Titan). I'll talk more about the "Fakes" another time.

Also, I think this was the first On-Air reference to Vince McMahon being the owner of the WWF.
 =================================================================

The WCW Madness - "Macho Man" Randy Savage arrives in WCW on December of '94 on WCW Saturday Night. Ooh,Yeeaahh!!! In his debut promo, "Macho Man" Randy Savage talks about various things, including WCW Champion Hulk Hogan,who he promises to confront at Starrcade '94 and either shake his hand or slap him in the face.

A good beginning promo from the Macho Man. Shame his WCW run wasn't nearly as great as his WWF run.
===============================================================

Free Spirit - In the Dying Days of the USWA in '97, Rick Bognar, aka Fake Razor Ramon, cuts a promo rejecting not only his "Fake Razor" gimmick,but also Vince McMahon and the WWF. He then returns to being his true self - Rick Titan, the Free Spirit.

And a month after this, the "Fakes" would officially be faded out. I liked this promo because Rick was brave enough to reject a gimmick that was forced upon him by Vince McMahon on live TV. That took guts. Shame very few were watching USWA at this point.

R.I.P. Rick Bognar.
===============================================================
The Stinging Aftermath - Now before I get to this promo,here's a little context - During the built-up to Fall Brawl War Games 1996, the nWo unleashed a Fake Sting to fool the WCW, all while the Real Sting was on tour internationally.

Soon many were convinced that The Stinger was now a member of the nWo... including his best buddy, The "Total Package" Lex Lugar.

When the Stinger returned at Fall Brawl, he tried to convince Team WCW that the nWo Sting was not him and was a fake.

Unfortunately, no one,including Lex Lugar, didn't believe him. So when the Fake Sting entered War Games, many felt betrayed, thinking it was the Real Sting. But the Real Sting entered as the final member of his team, shocking all.

Sting,feeling rejected assaulted the nWo and then left the match.

Next night on Nitro, Sting cut an in ring promo with his back turned to the camera giving a tongue lashing to those who.doubted him...especially Lex Luger,who he was good friends with. The Stinger then goes on tell those who believed in him,that he'll still stand by them,if they still stand by him. He then tells all who doubted him to Stick It.

Sting then declares himself to be a Free Agent,but promises to pop in when everyone least expects it. He then leaves the ring. Ladies and Gentlemen - The Genesis of Crow Sting!!! From that moment on,Sting would remain in the shadows or secluded,until 1997,where he would begin his assault on the nWo.
==============================================================
You Wanna War?! - On a Late-May addition of Monday Nitro,Scott Hall interrupts a match between 2 guys no one cares for and cuts a promo. In the promo,he mocks WCW and some of it's stars. He then declares War on the company.

This moment changed Everything for WCW and American Wrestling in General. Here was Razor Ramon on WCW TV, and everyone was wondering if the WWF was waging War against WCW via an invasion.? Interest was piqued.
============================================================
The Changing Measuring Stick - 2 Weeks after his Iconic "You Want A War?" Promo, Scott Hall returned to harass Eric Bischoff in the broadcast booth. The previous week,Hall promised a "Big Surprise" and on this show he delivered. That Surprise was Kevin Nash,who cuts a promo of his own.

"So this is Where The Big Boys Play,huh?! Look at the Adjective - Play! We ain't here to play!"

Then,at the end of the promo, Nash gives us This gem of a line - "The Measuring Stick just changed around here,Buddy! And You're lookin' at 'em!!"

The Debut of the Outsiders!

============================================================

The Savage/Flair Affair Continues - A 2-fer. Ric Flair and Randy Savage cut intense promos after their title match at WrestleMania 8.

"Nature Boy" Ric Flair,enraged at his title loss to "Macho Man"Randy Savage,dares Savage to face him again. To quote Slick Ric himself - "Because One Time Means Nothing to My Career!!!!"

After Ric's unhinged promo. The Macho Man cuts one of his own. Saying that he just got a "piece" of Flair that night, but wants the rest of him - "The Whole Flair Package".

2 of the Biggest Icons of Wrestling Unhinged. I found these promos to be Entertaining and it helped continue the Savage/Flair rivalry in the WWF. Good stuff!

=============================================================

Billionaire Ted's Biggest Get - Hulk Hogan arrives in WCW in June of '94. After a parade,Hogan gives a promo,signs the WCW contract,and takes questions. All taking place at Disney/MGM studios.

The most Iconic and Shocking moments in Wrestling history. The biggest Name in Wrestling,the man who helped Put WWF on the map,the man who was WWF personified for over a decade,was now part of the competition.

============================================================

Easy E Exposed - On a November '96 edition on Monday Nitro,Roddy Piper exposes Eric Bischoff as part of the nWo via a promo. Bischoff was set to interview Piper,but Piper decided to do his own thing.

As Bischoff was being exposed, The nWo assaults Piper and Hogan gloats about how Bischoff was indeed, was part of the nWo. Not only that,but he was the Boss.

From that point on Bischoff would become the Boss from Hell - A full Year before Evil Mr. McMahon was born. And 2 Years before McMahon became the WWF's own Boss from Hell.

===============================================================

No Problem With The Rockers - On January of 1992,the Rockers break up on Brutus Beefcake's Barbershop. Now, on that edition of 'The Barbershop', Brutus Beefcake attempted to reconcile the Rockers,who have been having issues as of late.

But, just as things were getting better, Shawn Michaels Superkicked Marty Janetty though the class window and after a small beat-down on his,now-former,partner, Michaels mocks the situation and walks off.

 The Birth of HBK!

=============================================================

A Belt Worth a Million Dollars - In Late '88,Tired of chasing after the WWF Championship, "The Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase decided to go out and create his own. And that's Exactly what he did.

On the Brother Love Show,Dibiase unveiled his Million Dollar Championship, a Championship Belt Worthy of a man like himself.

 This belt was so cool looking and,for a short time, was treated as a Legit Title.

==================================================================

Kick Ass or Kiss Ass - On Monday Night RAW in the Summer of '97, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin cuts a promo about his upcoming Intercontinental Title match against Champion,Owen Hart at SummerSlam.

In that promo, Austin talks about his Title Match and then Bret Hart's promise to never Wrestle in America again if he fails to beat the Undertaker at SummerSlam.

Bruno in the Pit - A memorable 1985 MSG Piper's Pit with "The Living Legend"  Bruno Sammartino. The interview starts by Bruno wanting "Ace Cowboy" Bob Orton to leave and even threatens to get one of his friends to watch his back.

"Not Yours!!!!" - The Undertaker.

Undertaker turns on Jake and becomes a Babyface. Jake assaults the Undertaker and traps his hand in a casket. He then beats up on Paul Bearer, all while insulting and taunting the Dead Man. The Undertaker struggles to fight back.

One of my favorite editions of the Funeral Parlor. Undertaker is a Super Legend!

==================================================================

Hulkamania is Not For Sale - Hogan rejects Dibiase's offer to buy the WWF Championship from him.

In late 1987, "The Million Dollar" Ted Dibiase offered to buy the WWF Championship from Hulk Hogan. Hogan cut a promo thinking how Dibiase's money would benefit him,his family,and his Hulkamaniacs.

But then slowly realizes that the Hulkamaniacs would Never forgive him if he did that. So He rejects Dibiase's offer on behalf of his Hulkamaniacs. "HELL NO!!!!"

In the promo,The Hit Man apologies to his fans for his attitude at WrestleMania 13. He apologizes to Every Wrestling fan around the World..except for the American Fans. Bret Trashes the American Fans and America itself.

As a curious experiment, WWF decided to turn Bret Hart Heel in the U.S.,but keep him a Babyface everywhere else. It worked well, I must say.

Backlund cuts a promo about how he finally regained the belt and then talks about what how he's gonna be a role model for everyone.

He finishes his promo with this gem of a line - "Because I Feel Like God!!!!!!!!"

One of Backlunds finest Promos. To me, at least.

============================================

Backlund For President -  In the Spring of 1995,after failing to gain traction as a Main Event Superstar again,Bob Backlund announced on RAW that He is running for The Presidency Of The United States.

Not much to say about this entertaining and memorable promo. But I'm gonna say This, Backlund would've made a Way better President than what we have (and what we'll be getting) right now.

============================================

Special Mention: Billionaire Ted's Rasslin' War Room - These skits were funny. Basically,in early 1996,The WWF put out a bunch of skits taking big potshots at Ted Turner and his favorable treatment of old WWF Talent, mainly "Macho Man" Randy Savage and Hulk Hogan.

The most famous skit being "The Wrasslin' War Room",where.Billionaire Ted,some Yes Men,Scheme Gene,The Huckster,and the Nacho Man were discussing ways to compete with the WWF and to get more WWF talent. What follows was comedy silver.

As part of this skit package,the WWF also parodied Larry King Live. Now,many people hate these skits,but I love 'em, So Screw The Haters!

Also, these skits led to the hilarious Geriatric  Match at WrestleMania 12.

Cut-Off Points.

Hey, Retromen and Retrowomen. Just thought I'd talk about something that has been on my mind recently - Cut-Off Points!

Limitations,or Cut-Off Points,on things are important because it stops you from obsessing over something. Especially if you commit to them. For example - Watching a long running favorite TV Show,but realizing that it's not that great anymore after 35 seasons,so you just stop watching,though still satisfied by the older seasons and just proud to have experienced it and been there for so long.

There comes a point where we say enough and just move on,while still remembering the good times and joy that something brought us.

It's okay Not to like everything your favorite things have to offer and it's okay to set up cut-off points for them. Example - WWE will move to Netflix next year,so for Me Personally,as a WWE Fan,will be initiating a Cut-Off point for all things WWE and just stick with the Classics.

Same can go for collecting too. Cut-off points are especially good for Collectors. Save time and money. Obsessing over the one thing you don't have for your collection, will fill your life with stress and anxiety. This applies to other things too.

Nothing lasts forever all things must past,even stuff we love. Even fandom for something will fade away eventually.

Life is finite and so are fandoms. Even if the thing you are interested in is still good,personal interest can waver and even fade. Cut-off points are not only good for the mind,but for the soul...and in some cases,the body.

Speaking of...Food can also be added to this topic. There comes a time where you need to set a limit on what you eat or drink. And in some cases,one can simply lose their taste for a particular food item (for me,personally,it's potato chips).

Be happy and grateful what you have or the previous experience of a beloved medium. And be smart with your eating habits as well. And being obsessed with something will only lead to a more difficult life and stress will follow close.

And we can always revisit the past via the internet,so...

In conclusion,make your life easier and set up Cut-off points for things. You'll feel much better.

Special Thanks to Michael Mercy on Youtube for inspiring me to do this. If you haven't checked him out,do so. He has lots of words of wisdom and does excellent toy reviews.

Well until next time Space Cowboys,Stay Gold and Resist Modern Attitudes!!!

Jason's Gallery - Custom Templates Vol. 1

Greetings Toonsters!

Though I do something different in my art blog this time around. In this one, I shall present to you, customized templates, which is popular around the world of art, especially on Deviantart. This isn't much, but I'm sure it is perfect, just to get your point across, especially in all the world of media and expressing your fandom, like myself. Let's get started.

First off, here is the first template I have made. I made this one, a long time ago, when I was starting to watch AEW Dynamite when it moved from TNT to TBS. This was in response for Vickie Guerrero disrespecting then AEW Women's World Champion Thunder Rosa with her "EXCUSES". Here are few copies I made, but with different characters and real life people.

First off, it is our resident hardheaded bruiser and warrior of strength, Kento of Hardrock from Ronin Warriors, who gives this EXCUSING magpie a piece of his mind. Of course, I was still following my vision of a story of Kento being a pro-wrestler. Gotta start somewhere.

Next up, we have Arnold Schwarzenegger, telling her straight up, in the way Ah-nold does it! Thank goodness she wasn't going after his cookies.

HULK SMASH EXCUSING WOMAN!!

For someone who is dark and evil, the Shadow Master is very calm, patient and stoic in telling Vickie Guerrero what he thinks of her EXCUSES. A girdling scream, indeed.

Before slapping Cody Rhodes and becoming The Rock-a-Jabroni once more, I supported The Rock on many issues and this template against Vickie won't be complete without The Jabroni-beating, Pie-eating, Trailblazing, Eyebrow-raising, Strong than Steel, Takes no guff from anyone, man, woman or beast, People's Champ. Though I am a part of the Nightmare Club now, back then, when it comes to putting Vickie in her place, I was a proud member of Team Bring It. Consider it BROUGHT!

Next up, this template was inspired by a Deviantart user named WOLFBLADE111. This one is devoted to brothers in arms. Even though the boxes cover them up, Megaman X and Zero are prime examples of being brothers in arms. Here are a couple of them to show.

This one features Ryo of the Wildfire from Yoroiden Samurai Troopers (Ronin Warriors) and Tuxedo Mask from Sailor Moon. It is no secret that paired these two up, not only because I picture them as shon-di (brothers), but they are drawn together by one person, Usagi Tsukino herself. Ryo with his sibling relationship with Usagi while Mamoru has a strong, passionate love for her that transcends centuries, dating back to their predecessors, Prince Endymion and Princess Serenity, during the times of the Silver Millennium. Like I said, every Lone Ranger needs a Tonto, every Green Hornet needs a Kato, every Batman needs a Robin, and in Mamoru's case, he's got Ryo. They are the human equivalent to Megaman X and Zero, and that's saying something.

Next template in play in this Brothers in Arms series is the one idea that I had since 2016, when New Japan Pro-Wrestling coverage was in its infancy on AXStv. Here we have Kento of Hardrock (Kongou no Shu) from Yoroiden Samurai Troopers (Ronin Warriors) and "Dynamite" Bass Armstrong from the Dead or Alive series. Let me refresh your memories, in case you asked. Since 2016, I thought of an idea or Rei-Fuan Kento being a professional wrestler, especially being one in NJPW, just to follow in the footsteps of the likes of other wrestlers, such as Shinsuke Nakamura and Jushin "Thunder" Liger. And to be one, he needed a support system, and no one fits the bill of training him to be a pro-wrestler than Bass Armstrong himself, the Miyagi to Kento's Daniel-san. Bass would training him real hard, not just in the New Japan Dojo, but also everywhere around the world, even in Kento's neck of the woods in Chinatown in Yokohama. Not only having a student/teacher relationship, but also being partners and as the title states, brothers in arms, especially in the wrestling ring. If Kento and Bass were a tag team, their double team finisher would be same one as the legendary Road Warriors/Legion of Doom, the Doomsday Device. And for their victory celebration, in and out of the ring, as Bass drinks beer, Stone Cold-style, Kento drinks lots and lots of Cream Soda. Jackie Chan be proud!!

And as an added bonus, here is one more, using the template made by WOLFBLADE111 himself.

This one makes a whole lot of sense, since this one features my favorite pairings of all fiction, Kasumi from the Dead or Alive series and Ryo Sanada from Yoroiden Samurai Troopers (Ronin Warriors). Star-crossed lovers like Romeo and Juliet, coming from two different worlds, Ryo and Kasumi started off as friends, the former being a bit more open to her life towards the latter, getting to know his life, not just from outside her village at Mt. Miyama, but also in the big city, where he introduces her to his friends. And then, down the road, Kasumi starts growing strong feelings towards Ryo. Initially wanting to be away from him due to the fact that she is a runaway shinobi and anyone closes to her will be targeted, too, Kasumi eventually overcame her insecurities and to be with her beloved samurai prince. Their relationship will be as strong as that of Usagi Tsukino and Mamoru Chiba, and it will take more than the old Shinobi code to break this loving couple, that's for sure. Like I said, like a certain kunoichi once said, "Abandon the old ways, and embrace the new.", and it couldn't be more true with these two lovebirds.

And there you have it. If want to use my template and/or WOLFBLADE111's, feel free to do so. Hopefully, there will be more of them in the future. With the power of templates, we will make a difference and continue to resist modern attitudes, so we can fix them with a healthy does of nostalgia and true justice. Until next time, stay frosty.

Saraba da (Farewell), for now!
