Jason's Gallery - Rachael Lillis Tribute Fanart

As you are all aware that Rachael Lillis has passed way on August 10th, 2024 (and why the news media continues to neglect on voice actors, even after passing way, is beyond me). She was 55 years old. Lillis, aside from voicing a few dozen Pokemon, including Goldeen, Vulpix and fan favorite, Jigglypuff, was best known for voicing the two iconic characters in the show, Misty and Jessie. Misty, as we all know, is the Cerulean City gym leader, who specializes in Water Pokemon, hence her nickname, "The Tomboyish Mermaid." And Jessie is a member of the nefarious criminal organization known as Team Rocket, who are known for two things, stealing rare and valuable Pokemon, and in the case of her, James and Meowth, use derogatory words as weapons to intimidate their foes. It is open season when they call you a twerp while doing their scheme of the day. Their "Twerp-ology" bothered me so much once upon a time. But now, now that I am older and wiser, it doesn't bother me so much, because I now respect them, especially Jessie, who I dubbed her the Queen of "Twerp-ology" and labeled her as my "Frenemy".

Anyway, her death due to breast cancer hit us all like a ton of bricks (and still no cure from cancer as of right now. Come on, where that cure?!). And in memory of this lovely voice actress, I shall leave you with my memorial fanart. Godspeed, Rachael Lillis. Keep on splashing and keep blasting off forevermore. Thank you for the memories. Until next time, stay frosty.

What does Misty, Jigglypuff and Jessie have in common? They were all voiced by the late, great Rachael Lillis. One of the most talented voice actors in all of history. Be at peace.

Two Pokémon Trainers, two differently philosophies. One, whose love for Water Pokémon is equal to her fiery passion and determination to be the best. And the other, who lives her life as a robber of Pokémon and uses derogatory words as a weapon to strike fear in her foes. And when Misty and Jessie collide, there will be fireworks, in more ways than one.
