A Super Smash Bros. Revelation!

Yesterday I had a Revelation. A Revelation that I Should've had months ago. I now know the reason Why Mai Shiranui and Ryu Hayabusa Never got Any representation in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (not even as a spirit). It's because of their connections to the Dead or Alive Franchise.

Mai Shiranui was a Guest Fighter in a recent DOA title and stole the spotlight from most of the Franchise's Main Characters. So it wasn't just that the way she was dressed,it's because she's now officially linked to the DOA Franchise. And for the record,Mai Has 2 modest outfits - the one she wore in Fatal Fury 3 and the one she wore in the Real Bout Fatal Fury series.

Ryu Hyabusa,on the other hand,is one of the Stars of the Franchise. Despite gaining stardom on the NES with the Ninja Guiden Trilogy,Ryu Hayabusa had migrated to the Dead or Alive Franchise. And his 3D Trilogy is a part of that franchise.

But,you ask,why not just have Ryu Hayabusa appear as he did in his NES days and have him represent the NES Trilogy? It's because Most know him best as one of Dead or Alive's Franchise Players, that's why!

But why Ban The Characters, just because they were in or from Dead Or Alive? Because DOA is best known for its hardcore fan service and Nintendo and Masahiro Sakurai didn't want any representation from the Franchise in Smash.

So What Masahiro Sakurai meant by "Smash Is For Good Boys and Girls",makes a crap ton of sense now. It was also a minor dig at the DOA Franchise itself. The reasoning behind their exile was So Obvious and I'm ashamed that I Didn't put 2-and-2 together Way Sooner.

Anyway now,we know the reason Why Ryu Hayabusa and Mai Shiranui weren't part of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Will they be part of the next game? Possible, but Unlikely.

Until Next Time. Stay Gold and Resist Modern Attitudes!

Wow, and I thought it was all because Mai is who she is, a skimpy, scantily clad kunoichi. And regarding Hayabusa, it was either him or Sora from Kingdom Hearts, so they chose the latter. Still, it would be more awesome if both Mai and Hayabusa appear in Smash Bros., Dead or Alive bound or not.
