Triton: "No, Ariel. I am the one who is sorry. I should've been more supportive in your choices. In spite of being a powerful monarch of the deep, I have been a terrible father. I have been so blinded over my hatred towards the humans, I have completely forgot what was truly important, you and your eternal happiness. I just didn't want to lose you the same way I've lost your mother. But now that I know that not all humans are dangerous, the surface world is your home, too. You can come and go as you please. And...if you want to be with your human prince Eric, then it is alright with me."
Ariel: "I love you, Daddy."
Triton: "Same here with you, my little, shiny pearl."
As Ariel and her father, King Triton embrace, the beams of sunlight shines the entire ocean, knowing that peace has been restored to both the human world and the merworld.
