You Truly Were Simply The Best - RIP Tina Turner

Today, the world lost a music icon, and a survivor in many ways. No woman in this planet fits the word survivor and icon better than the Queen of Rock and Roll herself, Tina Turner. Born Anna Mae Bullock, in her early career, after a slow start in the late 50s and into the 60s, by the early 70s, she became a household name, thanks to her cover of Proud Mary, which originally a song done by Creedence Clearwater Revival. Although her early success was sound, but it was not without controversy, personal-wise.

Ike Turner, who helped her in the beginning, especially with their music, was very abusive towards her, especially when being addicted to cocaine became a factor. After so many back and forth heat, Tina divorced Ike in 1978, a few years after splitting from him so she can focus on her solo career.

By the 1980s and beyond, Tina made a big time comeback, thanks to songs like Private Dancer, What's Love Got to Do with It and, of course, The Best. Simply the best, indeed.

So much so, she sold 100 to 150 million records worldwide, 12 Grammys, being in the cover of Rolling Stone magazine, having her name on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and twice inducted to the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame.

Her success wasn't just with music, she appeared in movies, including her first acting role as Aunty Entity in Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome and her cameo as the Mayor of L.A. in Arnold Schwarzenegger action/comedy flick, Last Action Hero.

On top of that, speaking Hollywood, they did a biopic on the life and career of Tina Turner in What's Love Got to Do with It (named after one of her songs), where Angela Bassett plays Tina.

In the later years, Tina left America and lived a peaceful life in Switzerland, which she has been living since until her passing.

Tina died on May 24th, 2023, after a long bout with her illness. She was 83 years old.

Her death was heartbreaking, but it wasn't for her, there wouldn't be others like Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, and so much more. And the other song makers that joined her in her performances and collaborations like Mick Jagger and Bono and The Edge from U2 (who did the theme song of the James Bond flick, GoldenEye), they are forever grateful to this brave, wondrous diva who left her mark.

I will leave you with one of her songs, straight from the aforementioned biopic, What's Love Got to Do with It, simply called I Don't Want To Fight, which sums up Tina Turner in a nutshell. Godspeed, Tina. You truly were simply the best. Be at peace, brave diva.

Jason's Gallery - Kasumi: Elegant Mermaid

As she dived into the deep blue sea, Kasumi, getting in touch with her spirit animal, starts swimming so elegantly, just like the dolphins. Every lunge, every twirl and every diving splash was done so beautifully. The Ninja Mermaid Princess is truly free, more eternal than she ever was, now and forever.

Jason's Gallery - Makoto Kino: Strong and Sexiful!

Just like with Ami, here are two more pieces of art I have made. But this time, these feature our lovely Amazonian beauty, Makoto Kino. Just like the last post, these were digitally remade, based on the artwork from the original artist. Without further ado, enjoy the latest work.

Even though she is the strongest and tomboyish of the Sailor Guardians, Makoto Kino isn't afraid to get in touch with her feminine side, as she tries to flirt with her noble counterpart, the thunder swordsman of courtesy, Sage Date. No man, even as mature and stoic as Sage, can't resist the beauty and sex appeal of Mako, especially in cute lingerie.

Here is a side by side comparison of sexy Makoto, the digitized drawing and the original artwork itself Absolutely sexiful if I do say so myself.

A Superstar to the Last - RIP "Superstar" Billy Graham

This just in.

Pro-Wrestling pioneer and hall of fame legend, "Superstar" Billy Graham has died on May 17, 2023. He was 79 years old, shy of being 80 in June. Real name Eldridge Wayne Coleman, Graham, originally started his career as a bodybuilder and was close friends with Arnold Schwarzenegger, was best known known for his runs in the AWA, NWA, and most importantly, WWWF, later WWF and into WWE until his retirement in 1988 due to multiple injuries. In his wrestling career, Graham was known for his oozing charisma, his large, physical physique, and his style when being interviewed, which was revolutionary at the time. Even though I didn't see his matches, but I do know that if it wasn't for him, there wouldn't be other wrestlers like Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Jesse Ventura, and even Scott Steiner himself, who based his Big Poppa Pump persona after Graham himself.

Did you know that Graham's influence wasn't just in wrestling, but in boxing? Hear me out when I explain what I am talking about. You see, there are two gaming characters that were based on Graham himself, and those characters in question are Super Macho Man and Soda Popinski from Mike Tyson's Punch-Out. Super Macho Man, despite having the same name as Macho Man Randy Savage, has the same arrogant charisma and large physique as the Superstar himself. As Soda Popinski (originally called Vodka Drukenski), during his second run in the WWF, Graham shaved his head bald and had mustache, just like Popinski himself, but without drinking too much soda pop. Graham died due to multiple sicknesses, which started in January with an ear and skull infection, which followed by problems with his kidneys, lungs and heart.

In short, "Superstar" Billy Graham had one heck of a career and has changed the landscape of wrestling forever. Thanks for all the memories, Superstar. Be at peace, to the man of the hour, the man with the power and is too sweet to be sour. Godspeed.

New Segment - Disney Boss Mode.

As we all know,Disney is still recovering from the Living Disaster that was Bob Chapek. And Bob Iger isn't doing Nearly enough to set things right. The Disney Board are Worthless,Useless Twats too. The Shareholders aren't too nice either.

So,here's a little What-If Scenario - What If I Became the President,CEO,and Chairman of The Walt Disney Company? As the Big Boss,I would defiantly save it from the brink. Now. How exactly,am I gonna do that? Well, let me show you. Let mew take you into a Universe where I become the Big Boss of Disney.

Take Notes Iger!!!!!!!!

Problem 1 - The General Entertainment Issue

Solution - Instead of creating Entertainment with an Agenda and/or with Strong Reality-Based Issues,I'd go back to the tried and true Disney Formula by creating content with a Good Story,Fin Characters, and Great Music. It's just That simple. And To Hell what with the Stockholders and/or the Board says about it. (i'm the boss of the latter anyway,so it won't matter what they think.)

Cuz,let's face it,every time Disney (and Hollywood in general) makes content with an Agenda and/or stuff that's Too Close to Reality, they end up Failing and Failing Big Time. I would just reject that thinking and just make fun movies again. Trust me on this,it's better this way for both the Audiences AND The Bottom Line.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Problem 2 - Jedi and Marvel Super Hero Fatigue.

Solution - As you are also aware,Disney has been pumping up the Marvel and Star Wars content to the extremes,so much so that it's taking a huge toll on the audiences and they grow tired of seeing them so frequently. They got Fatigued.

To remedy this,I'd simply slow the roll-out of Marvel and Star Wars content and spread them out. I think 2 Marvel and 2 Star Wars Shows a Year would surface nicely. Okay, once that's established,I'll start ordering new shows and 3rd Party offerings.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Problem 3 - The Disney+ Problem

Solution - The issue with Disney+ right now is that there is few quality content for such a hefty price. Well,as the Big Boss,I would be sure that not only would the content pass a "Quality Control" test to make sure that it Deserves to be viewed by the Fans. Next,I'd cut the price of the service.

And for a while,I'd cut AAA content in favor of lower budget shows with good story, fun characters, and great music. Quality content for a lower price. Iger and the Disney Board are just to Warped to implement any of my Sane solutions.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Problem 4 - The Lack of 3rd Party Alliances

Solution - Disney needs more 3rd Party Alliances. As Chairmen,CEO,and President,I will forge Strong Alliances with other Companies to better give Fans Dream Projects. After all, forging alliences with other Companies is So Much Better than buying them out.

Also,No More Buying Out Other Companies! Period!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Problem 5 - DEI-Only Hires.

Solution - Diversity,Equity, and Inclusion-only hires are Abominations that almost always Kill A Business,as most of them were Not Hired by their Skills, but by their Race,Gender,or Sexuality. This Can't Stand!!!!!!

As Disney's Big Boss,I will Make Sure to Only hire the Best Qualified employees. I'd also fire the DIE-only hires. Disney Needs to be Healthy again.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Problem 6 - Ignoring The Fans and Pissing on Them

Solution - The Fans are often ignored by the Disney Higher-ups. Well,I'm gonna do the simple thing and Listen to Them All Of The Time. They know what's up. In fact,I'm gonna Ignore the Board and Shareholders and just go straight to the fans. This will Make Disney Great Again.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Problem 7 - Kathleen Kennedy

Solution - Kathleen Kennedy is doing a Huge disservice to not only The Fans, but to George Lucas by producing (mostly) lame Star Wars shows. Well,I'd either Fire Her OR Take her off of All Star Wars projects and let someone, who Actually Knows the Franchise, run things.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Problem 8 - Fair Play,Fair Pay

Solution - Oftentimes,Park Workers aren't payed what they deserve. So,As Disney's Ultimate Honcho,I'll make sure to reward hard work and underpay laziness. In other words, the harder you work, the more rewards you will get. Period.

And that's about it. As you can see,I would make a better boss than Iger. In fact,I'd be an Infinite Improvement.

Stay tuned for more Disney Boss Mode in the future. So until next time,Stay Gold Space Cowboys and Resist Modern Attitudes.

Jason's Gallery - Ronin Warriors Profiles: Sailor Moon Style!

Inspired by the character profiles from the Sailor Moon limited edition booklets from the DVD/Blu-Ray packs, I give you my custom made profiles of 6 of the characters from Ronin Warriors (Yoroiden Samurai Troopers). I couldn't find the ones with Jun/Yuli, Kaos/The Ancient, Arago/Talpa and especially the Four Masho/Dark Warlords, including Shuten Doji/Anubis. So this is what I have to work with. With the exception of one, most of the profiles will have both the English and Japanese names. That being said, enjoy the custom profiles. I know you will like them.

Ryo Sanada: The Benevolent Soldier of Fire!

Rowen Hashiba: The Wise and Clever Skyward Archer!

Sage Date: The Noble Swordsman of Courtesy!

Cye Mouri: The Gentle Mariner of Trust!

Rei Fuan Kento: The Hardheaded Bruiser of Justice!

Mia Koji: The Young, Brilliant College Student! The one who brought the Ronin Warriors together.

That is all for today. Until next time.

Saraba da (Farewell), for now.
