Jim Ryan, the president and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, reconsidered his decision to shutdown the PSN store on PS3 and PS Vita after receiving such negative press, citing that by shutting them down, Sony would lose their customers, game designers quitting and not to mention losing millions of dollars in revenue alone, all because Sony want to favor more of the PS4 and PS5 than maintaining balance, along with saving a lot of DLCs and digital games to purchase. I was going to send a letter to Jim Ryan personally when the news of SIE's decision came. And my fears of missing out forever were wiped away clean when they halted the shutdown.
And yes, I am aware that only the PSN Store on the PSP will still shut down, but I just hope that all the PSP games will still be available on your PSN store on your PS3 and PS Vita, waiting to be purchased and the downloaded and transferred into your PSP. Only time will tell if this is true.
But until then, this is a joyous moment for all gamers. Now I could take my time in getting all the DLC costumes for DOA5 Last Round and get games like Castlevania Chronicles, Bionic Commando ReArmed and Elevator Action Deluxe. The Playstation Network is more than just a network, it is a community. A community that stood up for what's right and took it to Jim Ryan and we won. This is a great time to be a gamer, retro and modern alike.
